I was born in Peterborough, Ontario, and have recently finally moved back, after living and working in Toronto and Brampton since my university days. Before pursuing a career in lactation, I earned a Bachelor of Physical and Health Education from the University of Toronto, then worked in caseworker/counsellor roles. After conquering my own breastfeeding challenges, I decided to pursue a career as a Lactation Consultant, as it allowed me to combine my interest and education in health, with my counselling background and my personal breastfeeding experiences. In 2003, I became certified by the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners. (IBLCE). I worked at the Doctors’ Breastfeeding Clinic in Brampton for 20 years, as well as offering home visits in the GTA as a private Lactation Consultant. I now offer home visits in Peterborough and surrounding communities, and private virtual appointments for clients anywhere in Canada. A physician referral is not required. Both home visits and virtual appointments can often be booked within 24-48 hours of your inquiry, as I can be available evenings and weekends, as well as weekdays.

I have two children; Jessica, 25, and Jordan, 29. Despite the many challenges, I breastfed both children for over 1 year.
