Client Testimonials
I began working with Carolyn early on in my breastfeeding journey with my son. As it was my first child, there were so many unknowns and uncertainties with breastfeeding. At several points in my journey I had concerns with my milk supply, and Carolyn was extremely helpful not in only providing me with practical guidance on how to increase my milk supply, but also with providing emotional support and encouragement. I left each appointment with Carolyn feeling more confident and reassured that I was providing well for my son. She always took the time to listen to my concerns and answer all of my questions. With her help, I was able to exclusively breastfeed and had the most beautiful experience nursing my son.
I would strongly recommend Carolyn’s consultation services to anyone who needs support on their breastfeeding journey. Thank you so much for everything, Carolyn!

I was referred to Carolyn when I was so close to giving up on my breastfeeding journey. My son was a month old, and he was not gaining weight well enough. I wasn't sure about my supply, breastfeeding was extremely painful and it would take (what seemed like) hours to breastfeed him. After just one session with Carolyn, there was an improvement in my son's latch. As I continued to see Carolyn, all of our breastfeeding issues were eventually resolved. I never thought I would be able to breastfeed my son with such ease and comfort, and I'm still breastfeeding him now, at 9 months old. Carolyn was such an integral part of our success. At a time when I was so stressed out and anxious, Carolyn was positive, reassuring, gentle, and accepting. I have recommended her to my friends, who have told me afterward how great their sessions have been with Carolyn. She is very knowledgeable, professional and supportive.

I’ve had the immense pleasure of working closely with Carolyn for months since the birth of my daughter.
Carolyn was invaluable in my breastfeeding journey, patiently guiding us through supply issues, latching difficulties, pumping schedules and more. She tolerated our many questions ranging from “how much spit up is normal?” to “Why are my nipples turning white?”.
I never felt judged or silly asking for her guidance and happily drove an hour each way with a newborn on a weekly basis to see her.
Having met with a handful of lactation consultants, I can wholeheartedly recommend her services without a doubt.

I started to see Carolyn when my baby was just over a week old. My baby was born small for gestational age and initially had low blood sugar and had to be supplemented with formula. Additionally, he has reflux and had a lot of trouble gaining weight for the first few months. He didn’t latch well at the start and I was sure I would give up breastfeeding. He is now almost 7 months old and thanks to Carolyn’s immense support and invaluable advice, he is thriving, gaining weight well, and I absolutely love breastfeeding. After just 2 months Carolyn enabled me to start exclusively breastfeeding without supplementation while also weaning off the nipple shield. She gave me endless advice and watched my positioning and my baby’s latch over many many video calls. She helped ensure I could establish my supply in the early days by helping me work out a pumping schedule. She empathized so sincerely with how difficult it was for me, which made me feel seen and heard and helped keep me going. She answered every single question I had with the most patience, always smiling, and never making me feel rushed. From day 1, she reminded me that fed is best, and made sure I knew his weight was not my fault, that formula is not a bad thing, and that we can still work towards my goals even with all the hurdles. And we did. She even helped me breastfeed through COVID. She had a huge hand in preventing my PPD because of her constant support. If it weren’t for her, I would have given up breastfeeding before I could even give it a real chance.

I have been working with Carolyn since my 6-month-old son was about 3 weeks old. He latched following delivery, but once we left the hospital he really began to struggle with opening his mouth wide enough to latch properly. This was the source of a great deal of frustration for both him and myself. I sought out Carolyn's help as one of the resources suggested by the hospital. I was feeling hopeless and worried that my son would never latch and that I would either have to exclusively pump as I had been doing, or feed him formula only even though I really wanted to breastfeed.
From our very first virtual meeting, Carolyn put me at ease. She provided lots of great feedback and was very kind and empathetic. Now, at almost 7 months old, my son is a big healthy boy who has truly mastered breastfeeding! I am eternally grateful to Carolyn for the support she provided during a really challenging time. To any parent unsure of what steps to take next in their breastfeeding journey, I highly recommend working with Carolyn. You will not regret it!

Carolyn helped me and my beautiful daughter Lyana establish a comfortable breastfeeding relationship by educating me on different feeding positions as well as how to achieve a proper latch. Carolyn would always reassure me when needed and guide me whenever I was worried. She made me feel comfortable and capable of nursing my baby.
In my opinion, she is one of the best lactation consultants out there and I would highly recommend her services to everyone.

Carolyn has been amazing for my breastfeeding journey. From the very beginning, I had trouble latching and made the decision to exclusively pump. However, I developed an oversupply. She guided me on proper storage and handling of breastmilk, how to manage the oversupply and deal with issues such as clogs in a timely manner. Because of her help, I was able to exclusively pump for my baby for 13 months until I decided to wean. Her knowledge and experience show in the way she cares for her clients. She was very quick in responding to my concerns, provided practical advice and referred me for treatment when needed. Honestly, she has been available as a friend! Just a text away.

I wholeheartedly looked forward to breastfeeding my baby and it brings tears to my eyes to write this as I nurse my now 11-month-old. I met with Carolyn near the end of my pregnancy to be as prepared as possible for my first baby. Despite my intentions, things did not go as I had hoped. My upside-down baby boy arrived via C-section with a tongue tie so prominent it was spotted by my midwife before we even got out of the recovery room. He could not latch, but thankfully Carolyn and I had discussed a ‘just in case’ plan that gave me the confidence I needed to creatively feed him for the first few days until we could get more support. I reconnected with Carolyn from the hospital and we sorted out the next steps. Continuing to exclusively breastfeed, the baby was healthy and gaining weight beyond expectations. We continued to receive regular support for almost two months until - FINALLY - breastfeeding became what I had hoped it would be.
We truly could not have done it without Carolyn’s help. I’m proud of our perseverance and I’m so thankful for Carolyn’s kind support!

My first encounter with Carolyn happened when I was 2.5 months postpartum and had mastitis. My supply went down and I wanted to exclusively breastfeed my beautiful daughter. The appointment with Carolyn was a video call and she has been so kind in listening to me and very much methodical and detailed in her approach while giving me solutions to my problem.
My experience with Carolyn was so amazing that she became my go-to person for any concern on breastfeeding/solids. I touched base with Carolyn month on monthly basis, brought back my supply with her techniques and went from feeding every hour to 2 hours and started solids when my daughter turned 6 and still stayed in contact with her. I come from a country where not just mothers, mothers inlaws but also relatives, neighbors and friends come for help and support. Being in Canada, I didn't have that leverage but I did have a super supportive husband and Carolyn who understood my emotions & challenges and could relate to my situation, her solutions were driven by knowledge and experience and emotional support.
It has always been a pleasure meeting Carolyn and I wish to meet her soon in person as well. Her energy and smile make our meeting more beautiful.

I think lactation consultants are seriously underrated. I never thought a lactation consultant would be a part of my breastfeeding journey before my baby was born.
My baby was born weighing under 3% and everyone around started insisting me to offer formula because “Breast milk is no good for weight gain”. I wanted to feed her breast milk which my body was producing abundantly. Carolyn helped me with latching techniques, feeding positions and also beyond the breastfeeding journey, tips on solids after 6 months. The reassurance and support I got from her is incredible, especially with so much wrong advice all over the place. Carolyn helped me gain confidence in taking the baby’s lead and to trust my body. Thank you so much Carolyn for being an important part of my breastfeeding journey. No words can describe how much of a difference you’ve made in our journey. ❤️🤗

My name is Crystal Pellerin. I became a mother on November 6th, 2021 to my baby girl Isabella. She was a true blessing to us and couldn't wait to get started on breastfeeding as we strongly believe in the benefits for us both. I started breastfeeding right from the first minute of holding her and she latched immediately but seemed to not get enough the entire first night in the hospital. It caused me quite a bit of pain but I figured it was normal, her being new to this world and just hungry. By the 2nd day, my nipples were bleeding and swollen. Once we were discharged, I knew that I needed additional help and guidance to learn how to breastfeed her properly so I reached out online and connected with Carolyn. It turned out that there were underlying issues as to why I was experiencing this pain...I learned that she had a tongue tie, which was contributing to the poor latch because her tongue did not have the proper range of motion. This was causing both the pain and my daughter was not able to get enough milk.
Carolyn guided me through the entire process with patience and understanding which eased my stress drastically. We were doing video sessions to work on improving her latch. I'm still amazed that through a video chat, Carolyn noticed the possibility of a tongue tie and booked me into the clinic for her to be assessed by the doctor. We confirmed the tongue tie and proceeded through the procedure to release it. Immediately after, my daughter was able to latch much better, and it truly made my life so much easier. Breastfeeding is a beautiful experience but many women struggle with complications and I'm truly blessed and grateful to have been given the opportunity to work with Carolyn every step of the way. She was kind, warm and patient which turned being a new mother stressed out that couldn't feed her daughter to having no more issues and being able to connect with my baby on the deepest level possible. She is the reason my baby is so healthy and happy and now six months old. I couldn't possibly thank Carolyn enough for what she did for us. I will forever be grateful.
